Noel Currie - Trainer

Noel, a qualified Accountant and certified management consultant understands how organisations work and their need to grow and continually improve in all areas of their operations. He has extensive experience in assessing business processes and designing improvement strategies and has the hands on project management experience which enables him to take process improvement from design through to implementation and benefit realisation. Noel moved into consulting and project management in 2001 after 16 years working in chartered accountancy and then commerce. 

During his career Noel has held senior management roles and lead strategic change initiatives impacting thousands of individuals where mission critical processes and IT systems were impacted. Noels experience includes: Designing and facilitating seminars on 'Analysing and Improving Business Processes' and 'Shared Services' in NZ & Australia. Shared service process reviews, business process re-engineering and organisational / cultural  change.Organisation shared service initiatives (NZ Health Regulators, J & J Consumer, NZ Defence Force, AIG, Carter Holt Harvey.


Gerry Hassan - Trainer


Gerry has worked with Suzy Alexander & Business Training New Zealand since 2007.  During this time Gerry has been involved in program design and delivery for a wide and diverse group of Business Training NZ clients in the areas of customer experience management, communication strategies, time management, management, leadership, conflict resolution and sales skills.  Prior to this Gerry was involved in the retail industry, where he established and managed his own Retail Stores.

Gerry became involved in training and facilitation after selling his business and has facilitated hundreds of workshops since.  Gerry is a passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic facilitator who has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Rachel Bowen - Trainer

Rachel studied Business Studies and has a masters degree in Human Resource Development.  For many years Rachel worked for a large government department as a supervisor, front-line manager and managers manager, providing training, developing and negotiating policies and managing large teams and multi-million dollar budgets. More recently

Rachel has worked for a non-government organisation managing a team of volunteers and has experience in working with teen parents. She has academic qualifications to back up her practical experience and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her training. 

Rachel is a well-qualified, enthusiastic and experienced trainer who connects easily with all types of people. Rachel is committed to making your training course a valuable, enjoyable and informative investment.


Renee Evans - Office Manager

Renee EvansRenee has been with us for many years, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked as Product Marketing Manager for Click Clack New Zealand for 7 years, along with a Bachelor of Technology (Product Development) from Massey University.

Renee keeps the wheels turning at Business Training NZ, organising the smooth running of the office along with coordinating our Public and In House training programmes.  Renee's organisational skills are second to none, she keeps everything in ship shape ensuring our programmes throughout New Zealand run seamlessly.  

Renee is a proud mother of two children and a reckless labradour puppy.  Her karaoke skills are unmatched within the office.


Karen Taylor - Account Manager 

Karen first emigrated to New Zealand from the UK in 2008.  Having worked as an Executive PA for 9 years at the UK's largest agribusiness Dalgety, she brings a wide range of administrative skills, interpersonal skills and extensive business experience to her role as Account Manager for Canterbury & Hawke's Bay.  

Karen first joined the Business Training NZ team back in 2010 and is one of our longest serving staff members.  While over the phone you may notice traces of the accent, Karen is a proud Kiwi with two children and a very feisty little dog named Poppy.

Karen's energetic personality and friendly nature have helped her to build long lasting relationships with a wide and diverse range of clients.  Outside of work, Karen is, (lucky for us) a black belt in baking!  She's also a keen painter.



Awatea Martell - Account Manager

Awatea Martell


Awatea is the Account Manager for the Auckland region, along with looking after many of our nationwide corporate clients.  

Having been a part of the Business Training NZ team since 2014, Awatea brings skills obtained from a background in the real estate sector along with a degree in Maori and Management which makes Awatea well equipped to understand and identify the training needs for her clients in various sectors.  

Awatea's professionalism has helped her establish a large client base in Auckland and througout New Zealand.  

A mother of two and a competitive Goal Defence for a local netball team. Come Monday Monday Awatea can often be seen limping about the office after a few battles on the netball court.




Dallas Alexander - Team Leader

Dallas joined our team early in 2017 after spending 5 years in the insurance industry working for companies such as ACE, IAG NZ and NZ Brokers.  

Dallas has a background working closely advocating and advising both small and large businesses in a wide range of industries across New Zealand.  His customer centricity, communciation and sales skills have made Dallas a great addition to the team, bringing a fresh approach and perspective to our business.  

Dallas looks after key clients throughout New Zealand.
